Star 102.7 was the most listened to radio station in the Xtra Insights Cairns survey for this year with 28.2% (+5.8). Hit 103.5 came second with 15.9% (-4.8) and 99.5 Triple M with 15.3% (+0.1)
Vale John Summerton
John Summerton has died after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He was the first General Manager at 2 Double 0 in Wollongong (now i98FM), and of Power FM /2ST Nowra for 23 years before his retirement in 2013. Summerton spent nearly 50 years in radio including on air roles at 2WL Wollongong and programming and on air roles at 2CH in Sydney.
