Andy Mathers Moving On In 2023

Geelong Broadcasters GM Andy Mathers has announced that he’s moving onto new projects in late January 2023.  “A big day for me personally as I informed my team this morning that Friday January 20th, 2023 will be my last day as General Manager at Geelong Broadcasters.”

After almost 10 years at the helm of bay 93.9 and K rock (not to mention 30 years in the radio industry), leading a tremendously dedicated team of broadcast professionals, I have made the decision to step down to pursue a new career path outside of the media.

I’m fortunate to have much to be proud of over the journey and my hope is that I now leave both stations with a strong platform for future growth and a stable (brilliant) team ready to embrace every opportunity that 2023 and beyond throws at them.

The decision to leave a business and an industry I love so much was not taken lightly, but the time feels right. Details on my exciting new role will be shared in time.

For now, I wish you, your family and those close to you a very Happy Christmas and a safe 2023.”
