CBAA Welcomes New Head of Program Delivery

The Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA) has announced the appointment of Jana Gibson as Head of Program Delivery.

Jon Bisset, CBAA’s CEO, said, ā€œWe are incredibly fortunate to have Jana join the CBAA team. Our organisation has a long history of running successful initiatives for our community radio members. Now it’s time to ensure we are running as efficiently as possible so that we can achieve our goal of building stronger and more successful community broadcasters. We look forward to working with Jana.ā€

ā€œThough we welcome her to our team, Jana is no stranger to CBAA as she was a member of our Amrap Advisory Committee for three years. As Head of Program Delivery, Jana will provide strategic leadership across CBAA’s program portfolio – which includes our Australian music service, Amrap, online services, digital radio, and the Community Radio Network and news service. She’ll be responsible for evaluating these interdependent programs to ensure that our members and stakeholders are getting the best services – which ultimately support them to serve their communities.ā€

Jana Gibson, CBAA’s Head of Program Delivery, said, ā€œI have been fortunate to work within organisations that advocate for the work of creators and provide a voice for many communities.  I am thrilled to now join the CBAA team and work collaboratively with community broadcasters to build on the strong suite of services, ensuring we support their needs and those of their audiences.ā€

Jana has been working for APRA AMCOS for the past 18 years. She made a significant contribution to the public profile of the company and its membership, from shaping the APRA Awards programs as Events Manager, to leading the Communications & Events teams, delivering member-led programming as Director of Writer Services s, and finally to taking on leadership of the Member Services Division.  

Alongside her executive roles, Jana has previously held Board positions with MusicNSW and the Australian Music Centre, and currently sits on the Board of Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy.
