Former Deputy Editor for Bendigo Weekly Steve Kendall has joined GOLD Central Victoria. Steve will be joining Mark “Robbo” Robinson on breakfast covering everything local, national and international with a mix of news, views, music and entertainment with “The Wake Up Call with Robbo & Steve”. GOLD Central Victoria Content Director Daniel Brewer says, “It’s exciting to welcome someone so connected with the community into our team, Steve is a significant local news personality and his chemistry with Robbo was fantastic in the trial shows and I look forward to our listeners engaging with them from Monday. Melbourne showbiz legend Phil Brady OAM has passed away, aged 85. Brady, who has delighted been a longtime presenter on 3AW, has most recently been co-host of the Remember When program alongside Simon Owens. Previously, he shared a partnership with Bruce Mansfield across Remember When and Nightline on 3AW.
