GOLD Struck Across Central Victoria

Former Deputy Editor for Bendigo Weekly Steve Kendall has joined GOLD Central Victoria. Steve will be joining Mark “Robbo” Robinson on breakfast covering everything local, national and international with a mix of news, views, music and entertainment with “The Wake Up Call with Robbo & Steve”. GOLD Central Victoria Content Director Daniel Brewer says, “It’s exciting to welcome someone so connected with the community into our team, Steve is a significant local news personality and his chemistry with Robbo was fantastic in the trial shows and I look forward to our listeners engaging with them from Monday. Wayne Browne – a well known Australian talk radio producer – has died following a short hospital stay. He passed away on February 7.

SCA Announces New Appointments

SCA has announced a series of senior national content appointments across the Hit Network. Ellie Angel-Mobbs (pictured) has been appointed HIT Network Assistant Content Director – Operations & Announcer. Tim Lee has been appointed HIT Network Assistant Content Director – Creative & Announcer. Kiri Martin has been promoted to HIT Network Senior Music Director / Event Partnerships & 2DayFM Assistant Content Director.

Nova’s New Changes

Nova has confirmed a major national realignment of its on-air lineup. Beginning on Monday February 9, Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie will move out of Sydney Breakfast and into national Drive. Under the new structure, the Ricki-Lee Coulter and Tim Blackwell show will take over Breakfast, replacing the current Fitzy & Wippa and Kate Ritchie team, while Joel Creasey is expected to shift into a full-time role at Nova Perth, leaving the Sydney show.
