Steve Mummery returns to SCA as Content Strategy Manager

SCA Chief Content Officer Dave Cameron today announced that after 12 years Steve Mummery will be returning to SCA, joining the Perth Content team in the position of Content Strategy Manager, Perth.

In his role, Mummery will work in close conjunction with SCA’s content directors, providing advice and guidance on their program and digital strategy, as well as coaching their on-air talent and off-air teams to drive continued success.

Mummery brings to SCA a wealth of broadcast knowledge and experience, having spent more than a decade with SCA as a Content Director, he led a number of successful teams, including Perth’s Mix 94.5, achieving Perth’s #1 radio station for a record-breaking 80+ consecutive surveys. 

During his time in the radio industry, Mummery has held a number of leadership roles in large organisations, including heading up the Channel 7 Telethon Trust with his team raising an incredible $180 million during his nine years as CEO.  Mummery is well regarded in the Perth community, and also leads a successful celebrant business where he has hitched more than 700 couples over the past five years.

Mummery said he is excited to be back on familiar ground with the SCA team, and said: “Radio is in my blood, and I’m excited to be back doing what I absolutely love.  The Perth market is full of talented individuals and I am looking forward to working with them to be passionate about creating great content.”  

Mummery’s appointment is effective immediately.
