Vale Stuart Layt
Brisbane Times journalist and former radio newsman Stuart Layt, has died aged 40.
Layt, who was Science and Health Reporter at Brisbane Times, was diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2022 and underwent a series of evidence-based medical interventions. Before joining Brisbane Times, Layt worked for the AAP news wire service and radio station 4BC.
Breaking: Neil Breen quits 4BC
Neil Breen, who for two years hosted breakfast on news-talk Radio 4BC and currently fronts the Brisbane Live Drive shift, has announced on air that he will leave the station on June 23. (Source Brett Debritz – Mister Brisbane)

4BC Brisbane has announced that the successful 4KQ brekky trio Laurel, Mark and Gary team will take over the 4BC Breakfast show. For Gary this is a return to 4BC after a stint in the 4BC newsroom.
4BC Flips The Switch And Moves to 882AM
On October 8, Brisbane’s 4BC flipped the switch and swapped frequencies with sister station 4BH, moving to 882 AM in a move designed to give the audience a clearer and better listening experience. 4BC Breakfast presenter Neil Breen was joined in the studio by the “King and Queen of Brisbane”, rugby league legend Wally Lewis and former Olympic swimmer Hayley Lewis, who together had the honour of flipping the switch at 8.08am.
