Vision Christian Radio Celebrates 25 Years On Air

February 1st, 1999 was the day Vision Radio began broadcasting. Initially, Vision was heard in just one local community – on 88.0FM in Beaudesert, in southeast Queensland – but progressively, the network has grown to over 800 cities, towns, and remote and indigenous communities on AM, FM – and now on DAB+ in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

On Thursday, February 1st, Vision went back to where it all began… with Fel and DJ hosting Rise and Shine live from the Beaudesert Café.

It was Max and Gwen Poulier who volunteered to host the first Vision station from their house in Beaudesert. It was just a one-watt transmitter broadcasting on 88.0 FM. Gwen is still hosting Vision Radio from her house to this day.
