Neil Mitchell steps down as host of 3AW Mornings

Neil Mitchell, has announced he is stepping down from hosting his 3AW Mornings program after 34 years. He will stay on with 3AW and Nine in a new role, including hosting his new podcast, Neil Mitchell Asks Why. Mitchell has been a mainstay of 3AW for more than three decades, across a variety of time slots, and has had 219 Survey wins in his number one Morning program.

2GB Sydney returned to No 1 in the latest GfK Survey 2, 2023 with a share of 11.8% (+0.8). 3AW continued at No 1 in Melbourne with 16.3% (-0.3). Nova 93.7 Perth have a clear lead with 17.2% (+0.2). In Brisbane there was a change with B105 going to No 1 with 12.7% (+1.0) and in Adelaide, Triple M became No 1 with a share of 12% (+1.3).

With just three weeks until the start of the 2023 AFL season, 3AW has announced full details of its all-star lineup for the year ahead. Having secured radio, streaming and digital rights to the AFL until 2024, 3AW will call four matches per week, available to listeners on 3AW 693, and for the first time through the 3AW app and website.

Talk stations 3AW and 2GB continued their reign at No 1 in the latest GfK Radio Survey (7/2022). 3AW had a share of 13.7% (+0.3) with 2GB 11.6% (-1.2). Kiss1065 in Sydney came at a close second with 11.3% (+1.8). B105 continues at No 1 in Brisbane with 13.2% (-0.1). Mix102.3 moved to No 1 in Adelaide with 11.5% (+0.9) and Nova 93.7 in Perth No 1 with 17.0% (+1.1).
