Talk stations 3AW and 2GB continued their reign at No 1 in the latest GfK Radio Survey (6/2022). 3AW had a share of 13.4% (-1.1) with 2GB 12.8% (-0.8). B105 moved to No 1 in Brisbane with 13.3% (+1.1) with 4BH 1116 increasing their People 10+ share to 8.6% (+4.0). Nova 91.9 was No 1 in Adelaide with 11.8% (+0.8) and Nova 93.7 in Perth No 1 with 15.9% (-0.6).
In today’s GfK radio ratings the top rating metropolitan stations were: 2GB (13.8%) in Sydney, 3AW (15.9%) in Melbourne, Nova 106.9 (10.8%) in Brisbane, ABC (12.4%) in Adelaide, and 96FM (13.6%) in Perth
3AW first hit the airwaves at 8pm at His Majesty’s Theatre on Exhibition Street on 22 February 1932. The historic milestone comes at a time when the radio station has never been more popular with listeners. The final survey of 2021 marked the 58th consecutive survey win for 3AW, which remains Melbourne’s No. 1 station across Breakfast, Mornings, Afternoons, Drive, Nights and Weekends.
In today’s GfK Metro Survey 8, the top rating stations were: 2GB in Sydney (14.5%), 3AW in Melbourne (16.6%), 97.3 FM in Brisbane (11.2%), ABC in Adelaide (12.2%) and Nova 93.7 in Perth (12.6%).
In what could be a survey first, three Brisbane stations rated at No 1! They were 4KQ, 97.3FM (both ARN stations) and Nova 106.9 all with a share of 10.2%. In our 30 years of publishing this has never occurred with three stations as co-winners!
