ARN Announces Daytime Changes

ARN has announced changes to its daytime programming that will roll out across Australia’s Eastern seaboard in April. The shift will see  KIIS FM presenter Gordie Waters – well known for his role as host of KIIS 1065 Sydney weekdays – taking the reins as Workday announcer at KIIS 101.1 101.1 in Melbourne starting April 5, followed by KIIS 97.3 in Brisbane from April 8.

GfK Radio 360 Metro Radio Ratings (1/2024)

In the first GfK Radio 360 Metro Radio Ratings for 2024 the top rating stations were: 2GB in Sydney with 12.7% (+0.6) and 3AW in Melbourne with 14.5% (+0.9). In Adelaide, Mix 102.3 was the top rating station with 13.3% (+1.4), in Brisbane it was B105 with 13.8% (+2.1) and in Perth – Mix 94.5 with 15.6% (+3.2).

Vale Carter Edwards

Carter Edwards, who was with Newcastle’s 2HD – formerly 2SM – for more than three decades, passed away from illness on Sunday. He was 81. He started at 2HD in 1989 with “Carter Edwards Country” which dominated the ratings for 20 years and was later inducted into the Australian Country Music Broadcasters Hall Of Fame. Top Podcaster listener numbers surge in February

Audiences have flocked back to their favourite podcasts in February, the Australian Podcast Ranker has revealed. Casefile True Crime had the most monthly listeners, with 83% more than in January, reflecting a strong growth in monthly listeners across most of the top 10 podcasts.
